  • OPC AND PCA: SYNAGOGUES OF SATAN

(From Outside the Camp Vol. 3, No. 4)

Did you know that the Presbyterian
Church in America (PCA) and the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North
America (RPCNA) are members of the National Association of Evangelicals
(NAE)? Also, individual churches in the Associate Reformed Presbyterian
Church (ARP) and the Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC) are members of
the NAE, and these individual churches are accepted by their respective
    denominations.

    These churches and denominations
claim to believe the doctrines of sovereign grace. Yet here are some of
the denominations with which they are in fellowship: Assemblies of God,
Baptist General Conference, Christian & Missionary Alliance, Church
of the Nazarene, Evangelical Free Church of North America, Fire
Baptized Holiness Church of God of the Americas, International Church
of the Foursquare Gospel, International Pentecostal Church of Christ,
International Pentecostal Holiness Church, Mennonite Brethren Churches,
Pentecostal Church of God, Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church,
Salvation Army, and Wesleyan Church. And here are some of the
denominations in which individual churches are members: American
Baptist Churches, Episcopal Church, Friends Churches, General
Conference Mennonite, National Association of Free Will Baptists,
Presbyterian Church USA, Southern Baptist Convention, and United
    Methodist Church.

What kind of association do members
of the NAE have with each other? The NAE’s pamphlet, entitled
“Leadership Through Cooperation,” gives this explanation: “The
incentive for cooperative effort that Paul gave the Philippian
Christians is the same compulsion that has caused evangelicals of this
century to ‘stand fast in one spirit, with one mind (cooperating)
together for the faith of the gospel’ (Phil. 1:27).” Under the heading
“Evangelicals – Pioneers in Cooperating,” the pamphlet states:
“Evangelicals needed a united voice to safeguard their freedoms. … A
movement of Bible-believing Christians was born and was formally named
the National Association of Evangelicals.” The pamphlet goes on to say
that the NAE’s “purpose is … to provide a means of cooperation in
evangelical witness … Based upon the affirmation of a common faith
resting securely in God’s Word … NAE is a member of the World
Evangelical Fellowship, a worldwide alliance of continental and
national bodies that provides the structure and forum for them to
identify together and cooperate forcefully to defend the faith and
advance the gospel. … NAE fosters Christian unity and cooperation …
The mission of the National Association of Evangelicals (USA) is to
extend the kingdom of God … demonstrating the unity of the body of
Christ by standing for biblical truth, speaking with a representative
voice and serving the evangelical community through united action,
cooperative ministry and strategic planning. … to provide a means of
fellowship … for more effective witness and ministry … to represent
the evangelical cause … Together, in cooperative witness through the
programs, services and activities of NAE, evangelicals demonstrate
their spiritual unity and engage in vital action … it provides …
spiritual witness to millions of people.”

Andrew C. Bain and his Arminian sister Monique Bain

Monique, my sister, belongs to a Synagogue of Satan: the Anglican “church” of Australia. Although Monique is an Arminian, many Sydney Anglicans claim to believe the true gospel, and are staunchly conservative. Consider the comments of one of their “Calvinist” leaders – Philip Jensen. According to The Guardian newspaper in London, Jensen denounced the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, as sinful and corrupt, “a theological prostitute”, taking his salary under false pretences. The Prince of Wales was a “public adulterer”. The famous King’s College Chapel in Cambridge was a “temple to paganism” for selling compact discs of its choir in the ante-chapel. Women priests were an abomination because, “as soon as you accept women’s ordination everything else in the denomination declines”.

Yet Jensen’s denomination is part of the National Council of Churches. The fifteen member churches of the NCC include: The Antiochian Orthodox Church, The Armenian Apostolic Church, The Assyrian Church of the East, The Churches of Christ, The Congregational Federation, The Coptic Orthodox Church, The Greek Orthodox Church, The Lutheran Church, The Religious Society of Friends, The Roman Catholic Church, The Romanian Orthodox Church, The Salvation Army, The Syrian Orthodox Church, The Uniting Church. These so-called Calvinists claim to “share a common faith and confession” with Romanists, Quakers and Arminians. It is not surprising, however,  that these Anglican “Calvinists” embrace Synagogues of Satan. In fact, both Philip Jenson, and his brother Peter Jensen (Archbishop of Sydney) – believe they were converted at the 1959 Billy Graham Crusade.

Any churches that are part of the NAE
believe that the member churches have a common faith, are in spiritual
unity, and preach the same gospel they do. They are in cooperation with
those who preach a false gospel to spread this gospel worldwide.
Clearly, the PCA and RPCNA are part of the Great Whore. The ARP and OPC
condone such whoredom by allowing some of its churches to be members of
    the NAE. See 2 Corinthians 6:14-17, 2 John 10-11, and Revelation 18:4,
and separate from these synagogues of Satan.

  • It’s great that you’re outside the camp… now please stay there.

  • Hey what’s up.  If you wouldn’t mind keeping your comments on my blog to a paragraph or less, that would be great.  Thanks for subscribing.  Cheers.

  • wow. And i thought I was verbose. Damn.

  • Hello,

I just saw your comment on my guestbook. I’m guessing that you found me through the “Xanga Calvinists” blogring.

I think that your site is very…interesting. You seem to be a very combative and agressive person. I’m really not interested in that sort of debate. Especially when much of the debate centers around determining whether or not someone is saved or not, I’ve got enough to worry about with myself.

I am a Covenanted Reformed Presbyterian, and proscribe strictly to the Westminster Confession of Faith, though many of my friends and family do not. When I talk to them on theological matters that we do not agree about, I surely do not beat them over the head as you seem to enjoy doing. We are to be known by our love. Please keep this in mind if you come to my blog again.

  • Okay, now I get it. You are disgusted that we as Christians -acting as though we have common faith. Hey, on another tangent what do you think about Rick Warren “The Purpose Driven life” ? I would your comment strictly on Rick Warren…Are you a Calvinist?

  • liked that jacket you had on today

  • First what your doing is not edifing in any way.  You need to just stop.  Your not doing anything here to build up the body of Christ.

Second since when has salvation ben based on how much we know.  Aminians are saved by grace through faith like anyone else who is a believer.  They repent and put they faith in Christ like you do, well I hope you do. I thought yuo were pretty solid until I read that stuf then I realized you were arminian in your veiw of salvation as well.

I’m not even going to get into this crap you just wrote about synagogues of satan.

  • Hi. Thanks for the post. Sticking strictly to the Bible is the way I like to do things. God is my Predecessor, my Judge, my Lover, and my Savior. His grace is enough for me. His love is enough for me. I am trusting in what God’s Word says; not in anyone’s xanga sites, not in any “religion,” not in any pamphlet, or questionnaire, or devotion. I am trusting Christ alone.

    Gn. 28:10-15, Lk 3:8, Ex. 6:6-8, Is 25:6, Lk 24:47, Mt 1:20-23, Mt 1:21, Mt 7:13-14, Jn. 6:67-68, Acts 4:12, Rom 2:1, Mk 3:11, Lk 1:30-31, Lk 7:11-17, Lk 9:2, 1 Cor 1:28-31, Lk 13:24-25, Jn 17:3, Rom 10:8-12, Lk 14:15-24, Lk 23:34, Lk 24:51, Jn 19:30, Jn 3:8, Jn 3:10-11, Jn 4:10, Jn6:39, 1 Jn 2:3-6, Jn 6:44, Acts 21:23-24, Gal 2:17-19, Rom 3:10-18, Rom 3:28, Gal 1:7, Rom 4:5, 1 Cor 1:28-31, Gal 2:17-19, Eph 1:4, Eph 2:8-10, 1 Timothy 2:4, Heb 10:26, Heb 11:6, 1 Pt 1:20.

I respect your opinions and beliefs, but they must be Biblically sound (not just in some contexts or manipulated faces). I am not an intellectual, I am not a professional Bible scholar, but I am saved by the grace of God, therefore you and I are on exactly the same level on the day we meet the Lord Christ. He will not look at one of us and say we didn’t do a good enough job on earth. If He’d do that in heaven, what was the whole purpose of Christ dying on the cross? Repent and believe, and don’t buy into the world around you. I am learning these things each day at atime. Thanks for your post.

  • P.S. There is no 2 John 10-11 in the Bible.

and remember, “the greatest of these is LOVE.” (1 Corinthians 13:13). If you find people turning away from your message and not wanting to listen to you (which I see in the above posts), maybe you should reconsider the way you go about preaching it. You are getting so caught up in legalism. People need to know you care before they know you’re condemning them.

  • Hey, thanks for the spam posting! I’ve let the Xanga moderators know about it!

  • Hi Andrew,

Thanks for signing my guestbook, although I don’t really appreciate people posting “books.” But thanks for your thoughts.

God calls us to speak the truth in love. You are speaking the truth (most of the time), but you aren’t showing God’s love. Making these long posts, and signing people’s guestbooks, and being a crusader for what you believe is all very well, but it doesn’t increase your standing with God in any way. Neither does making really nasty judgments on Christians whose doctrine is slightly different than yours. Calm down a little, man. Show God’s love.

    - Kevin

  • Dude SHOW ME PROOF OF THIS!!! You provided zero evidince to back this claim up that the PCA and OPC is a member of NAE. Show it man!!!
